How we look after the personal information you share with us — written in plain English.
Yas Floors ("we", "us", "our") is a flooring supply and installation business based at 118 George Lane, South Woodford, London, E18 1AD. For the purposes of the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, we are the data controller of the personal information described in this policy.

When you contact us — through the enquiry form, by email, phone or WhatsApp — we collect the details you give us: your name, email address, phone number, and anything you tell us about your project (such as the rooms, approximate sizes and the materials you're considering).
When we carry out a home measurement or installation, we also hold your property address and any access notes you share with us.
We do not collect payment card details through this website, and we do not knowingly collect information about children.
We use your details to respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations, arrange showroom visits, site measurements and installations, and to provide aftercare such as guarantee work.
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are: performing a contract or taking steps before entering one (quotations, bookings, installations); our legitimate interests in running and improving our business (responding to messages, keeping records); and legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
We will only send you marketing messages if you have asked us to, and you can opt out at any time.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run the business: for example with our fitters and suppliers where your project requires it, with our accountant, and with service providers who host our website and email.
Where a provider processes data outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, as required by UK GDPR.
Enquiry details are kept for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. Project, invoice and guarantee records are kept for the periods required by tax and contract law, typically six years.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to ask for it in a portable format.
